Ja’myh Goodwyn

Heya, I’m Ja’myh! Raised in Baltimore, MD, when I was young I had a pretty decent life. I was raised by my grandmothers on both sides of my family and got anything I wanted as long as I worked for it. My passion growing up was definitely music, primarily singing which brought me so much fulfillment in my life from a very young age.

As I began reaching my teenage years, my mother who hadn’t been in my life that much at the point decided to come back full force and drop 3 kids she had on me to babysit almost everyday of my life at that point. As time went on I wasn’t able to do things a normal child was able to do anymore i.e, going to playgrounds, going on school trips, seeing other family and overall enjoy the rest of my childhood. Even with those challenges I faced, I still managed to get into a decent high school and graduate with scholarships to multiple colleges in 2021.

When I was growing up things weren’t how I wanted them to be. Luckily, I did have my grandmother at the time to confide in. Even though she didn’t show it the stress of worrying about me everyday did take a toll on her. She began having heart problems shortly after the situation with my mother started happening and I blamed myself heavily until unfortunately in 2019 she passed.

After that I lost my drive and my will, but shortly realized afterwards that my grandmother wouldn’t want that for me and she’d want me to keep pushing no matter what. That’s my drive to put my everything into everything I do. I applied to Worldwide Promotions to better myself from previous stagnation in a previous job. Through my time here I realized that I have great potential and I plan on using to the fullest extent to maximize on anything and everything I’m capable of.
